MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 1900744 "Reservoir Rehabilitation Construction Project at Imlay Station, Lake Huron, Springwells and Southwest Water Treatment Facilities" with Pullman SST, Inc., at a cost not to exceed $21,597,998.00 for a duration of 1886 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) requires that finished water storage reservoirs be inspected every five years to determine their condition and make any necessary improvements to maintain reservoir integrity. Inspection of reservoir interiors, as well as construction management of 1900744 will be performed under an active engineering services contract (i.e. Contract No. CS-151A "Reservoir Inspection and Design Project at Imlay Station, Lake Huron WTP, Springwells WTP, and Southwest WTP").
