MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. GLWA-CS-259, Proposed Amendment No. 3, "As-Needed Engineering Services for Concrete Testing, Geotechnical Soil Borings and other Testing Services and Related Services" with Somat Engineering, Inc., with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $2,130,721.54 and an increased duration of 365 days for a total duration of 2,083 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
Contract No. CS-259 is an engineering services contract that GLWA has used for the design and construction administration of three water transmission main projects. Two of the three projects are complete. Those two are Schoolcraft and Park-Merriman. The Wick Road 48-inch Transmission Main Project is the third project.
