MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of William M. Wolfson, Deputy Chief Executive Officer/ Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA): (1) approves Amendment No. 3 to Legal Services Contract LS-2101474 Plunkett Cooney, P.C.; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of Amendment No. 3 to Legal Services Contract LS-2101474 Plunkett Cooney, P.C.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA retained Plunkett Cooney, P.C. to represent GLWA in the Andrew I. Washington v. GLWA matter. This amendment extends the time through April 30, 2028. Due to the contract exceeding five years, Board approval is required.
BUDGET IMPACT
There are sufficient funds allocated in the General Counsel’s budget for the continuation of Plunkett Cooney, P.C.’s services.

This matter is being presented to the Legal Committee at its meeting on April 22, 2026.
SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
