MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of William M. Wolfson, Deputy CEO/Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA): (1) approves Amendment No. 11 to Legal Services Contract GLWA-LS-140 with Dykema Gossett PLLC; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of Amendment No. 11 to Legal Services Contract GLWA-LS-140 with Dykema Gossett PLLC.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA retained Dykema Gossett PLLC to represent GLWA in the Highland Park matters. The litigation continues and keeping the continuity of the legal team handling the matter is in the best interest of GLWA. This legal matter has taken longer than most, but there were delays in the case due to the complexity of the litigation. Due to the contract exceeding five years, Board approval is required.
BUDGET IMPACT
There are sufficient funds allocated in the General Counsel’s budget for the continuation of Dykema Gossett PLLC services.

This matter is being presented to the Legal Committee at its meeting on November 20, 2025.
SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
