MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2004538, Proposed Change Order No. 1, "Instrumentation and Control System Replacement at St. Aubin, Seven Mile, and Leib Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Facilities" with Burns and McDonnell Michigan, Inc. with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $7,375,000.00 and an increased duration of 372 days for a total duration of 1,159 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
On September 29, 2023, GLWA issued the notice to proceed with Contract No. 2004538, to Burns and McDonnell Michigan, Inc. (BMcD). The project is intended to upgrade the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems at St. Aubin, Leib and Seven Mile Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Facilities along with select instrumentation. The project also includes upgrades to enterprise-level network equipment that will serve as the backbone for future SCADA improvements to come...
