MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 1802448, Proposed Amendment No. 4, "Engineering Services for the 14 Mile Transmission Main Loop" with Brown and Caldwell, LLC, at an increased cost of $145,366.00 for a total cost not to exceed $10,027,982.00, with no increase in duration for a total duration of 2,132 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
Contract No. 1802448 is an engineering contract involving design, bid, construction administration, and resident project representation (RPR) for construction of redundant and parallel transmission mains to provide redundancy for the communities serviced by the existing 14 Mile transmission main. The existing 14 Mile transmission main is a single line that supplies drinking water to the communities of Novi, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Commerce, Walled Lake, and Wixom.
