MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2004456, Proposed Change Order No. 2, "14 Mile Road Transmission Main Loop Phase II" with Ric-Man/Clark Joint Venture, at an increased cost of $662,078.99 for a total cost not to exceed $93,130,783.99 and an increased duration of 202 days for a total duration of 1,047 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
Contract No. 2004456 is a construction contract for the 14 Mile Road Transmission Main Loop Phase II. The existing 14 Mile transmission main is a single main that supplies drinking water to the communities of Commerce Township, Farmington Hills, Novi, Walled Lake, West Bloomfield Township, and Wixom.
