MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of William M. Wolfson, Chief Administrative and Compliance Officer/Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) (1) approves and authorizes the execution of a lease amendment between GLWA and East Lake Baptist Church for 1001 Clairpointe and 12400 East Jefferson, Detroit, Michigan 48215, and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA needs to amend the lease to allow East Lake Baptist Church to stay in possession of the property until GLWA is ready to begin construction at the location.
BUDGET IMPACT
There is no budget impact.
COMMITTEE REVIEW
This matter was being presented to the Legal Committee on December 13, 2023. The Legal Committee unanimously recommended that the GLWA Board adopt the resolution as presented.
SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement.
