MOTION

Upon recommendation of William Wolfson, Chief Administrative and Compliance Officer/Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2002946, Proposed Amendment No. 2, "Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Services" with NTH Consultants, LTD, with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $2,000,00.00 and an increased duration of one (1) year for a total duration of four (4) years; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND

The Great Lakes Water Authority's (GLWA) Enterprise Risk Management Safety group is committed to continuously improve environmental health and safety at GLWA and to increase environmental/occupational health and safety awareness for all GLWA, employees, visitors, contractors, and the communities surrounding our facilities. The current environmental safety contract (2002946) has expired after two years. This contract was for $2 million over two years (average of $1,000,000 per year). At the end of the contract period, the spend was just above $500,000 over the two-year period ($1.4 million favorable variance).
