MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. GLWA-CS-267, Proposed Amendment No. 1, "Ypsilanti Pump Station Improvements" with Brown & Caldwell, LLC, at an increased cost of $99,950.00 for a total cost not to exceed $3,783,636.00, and an increased duration of 870 days for a total contract duration of 2,941 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.


BACKGROUND
GLWA Contract No. CS-267 is a professional engineering services contract that involves the study, design, construction administration, and resident project representation services related to the Ypsilanti Pump Station Improvements. The study phase revealed that the existing Ypsilanti Pump Station (YPS) is beyond its useful life and needs to be replaced. Under this contract, a new pump station will be designed to meet GLWA's operations, maintenance, and reliability standards and possible future reservoir. The actual construction of the new YPS will be under a separate contract.
