MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 1904449 Proposed Change Order No. 1 "Lake Huron Water Treatment Plant Pilot Plant Design Build Services" with Brown and Caldwell Constructors, with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $3,157,387.00 and an increased duration of 365 days for a total duration of 1,095 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.


BACKGROUND
This proposed Change Order No. 1 will increase the Final Completion by 365 calendar days at no additional costs to GLWA. This extension is being added to allow for training and operational oversight by the Engineer included in the original scope of work. A supply chain delay in receiving control panels and I/O cards from Emerson resulted in construction delays. The delivery of the items was delayed approximately 167 days. For GLWA team members to have proper training and access to quality control and operational oversight for the units, the Final Completion date will be moved back.
