RE: Amendment to Fiscal Year 2022-23 Charge Allocation to Remove Highland Park Bad Debt Recovery Adjustment
MOTION
The Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA):
1. Directs that the approximately $1.26 million attributed to bad debt expense recovery allocation related to Highland Park in the FY 23 Water Charges be eliminated; and
2. Directs that the approximately $5.42 million attributed to bad debt expense recovery allocation related to Highland Park in the FY 23 Sewer Charges be eliminated; and
3. That the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer is authorized to make appropriate adjustments to these approximate amounts as illustrated in the attached preliminary table; and
4. That in taking this action it is the understanding of the Board that the amounts contained in this motion and the attached table are preliminary and may be subject to change; and
5. Authorizes the CEO and the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
