MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Interim Chief Executive Officer (ICEO) to enter into Contract No. 1802774 Proposed Change Order No. 1 "Springwells Water Treatment Plant 1930 Sedimentation Basin Sluice Gates, Guides, and Hoist Improvements" with Kokosing Industrial, Inc., with no increase in cost, for a total cost not to exceed $13,703,000.00 and an increased duration of 399 days for a total duration of 1,495 days; and authorizes the ICEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
GLWA Contract No. 1802774 "Springwells Water Treatment Plant 1930 Sedimentation Basin Sluice Gates, Guides, and Hoist Improvements" involves replacement of the existing eight sluice gates and guides for the 1930 Sedimentation Basins. The original gates were installed in the 1930s and required replacement. The project included structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical improvements in the 1930 sedimentation basins and gate house structures.
