RE: Easement Agreement between GLWA and International Transmission Company
MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of Randal M. Brown, General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) recommends the (1) approval of an Easement Agreement between GLWA and International Transmission Company and (2) authorization for the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of an Easement Agreement.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA needs to acquire a permanent easement over property owned by the International Transmission Company. The easement is needed in conjunction with the 14 Mile Road Loop Project. Without an easement agreement, GLWA’s ability to construct the 14 Mile Road Loop Project will be compromised.
BUDGET IMPACT
Easement acquisitions were included in the budget for the 14 Mile Road Loop Project.
