MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. DWS-858, Change Order No. 4 "Wick Road Station Improvements" with Tooles Contracting Group, with a credit of $(152,307.76) for a total contract value of $13,547,101.24 and an extension of 973 calendar days for a total contract duration of 3,746 calendar days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.


BACKGROUND
Wick Road Station is a finished water booster pumping station that connects the southern transmission area, serviced primarily by the Southwest Water Treatment Plant; with the northeastern transmission area, serviced by water blended from Springwells and Lake Huron Water Treatment Plants. Tooles Contracting Group and DWSD executed contract number DWS-858 to address necessary upgrades to the Wick Road Station. These upgrades included replacing pumps, motors and drives associated with pump numbers L-1, L-2, and L-3/R-3, new variable frequency drive building enclosure, and the addition of a new passive station bypass.
