MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of William M. Wolfson, Deputy Chief Executive Officer/ Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA): (1) approves Amendment No. 4 to Legal Services Contract LS-2000388 The Allen Law Group, P.C.; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of Amendment No. 4 to Legal Services Contract LS-2000388 The Allen Law Group, P.C.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA retained The Allen Law Group, P.C. to represent GLWA in employment/labor matters. This amendment extends the time through January 31, 2028. Due to the contract exceeding five years, Board approval is required.
BUDGET IMPACT
There are sufficient funds allocated in the General Counsel’s budget for the continuation of The Allen Law Group, P.C.’s services.
COMMITTEE REVIEW
This matter is being presented to the Legal Committee at its meeting on January 28, 2026. The Legal Committee unanimously recommended that the GLWA Board adopt the resolution as presented.
SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
