MOTION

 

Upon recommendation of William M. Wolfson, Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the purchase of a permanent easement at 6991 N. Adams Road, Bloomfield Township, Michigan 48304 (Tax Parcel ID 19-01-227-007); and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote. 

BACKGROUND

The Board has received a confidential attorney-client communication regarding the above-referenced purchase.

JUSTIFICATION

The purchase of this property easement is necessary for GLWA’s N. Adams Rd. & South Blvd. 42-Inch Water Transmission Main Project.

BUDGET IMPACT

The proposed property easement purchase, if finalized, is within the budget for this project included in the approved 2024 -2029 capital improvement plan. 

COMMITTEE REVIEW

This matter was reviewed by the Legal Committee at its meeting on February 25, 2026. The Legal Committee unanimously recommended that the GLWA Board adopt the resolution as presented.

SHARED SERVICES IMPACT

This item does not impact the shared services agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
