MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 1904337/SCN-0000409, Proposed Amendment No. 4, "WRRF PS-2 Bar Racks Replacements and Grit Collection System Improvements" with Hazen and Sawyer, for an increased cost of $741,967.80 for a total cost not to exceed $17,931,579.81 and an increased duration of 967 days for a total duration of 3,501 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The engineering firm Hazen and Sawyer was contracted by GLWA in October 2020 to perform planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction services for the Pump Station No. 2 Bar Racks Replacements and Grit Collection System Improvements (PS2RG) project. Improvements include:
