RE:                     Proposed Amendment No. 4 to Legal Services Contract LS-2102518 (Zausmer, P.C.)

                     

MOTION

 

Upon recommendation and opinion of Phyllis Hurks, General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA):(1) approves Amendment No. 4 to Legal Services Contract LS-2102518 with Zausmer, P.C., for no additional Dollars and a term ending June 30, 2028; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of Amendment No. 4 to Legal Services Contract LS-2102518 with Zausmer, P.C.

 

JUSTIFICATION

 

GLWA retained Zausmer, P.C. as Legal Counsel for Real Property matters. This amendment would extend the time through June 30, 2028. Due to the contract exceeding five years, Board approval is required. 

 

BUDGET IMPACT

 

There are sufficient funds allocated in the General Counsel’s budget for the continuation of Zausmer, PC’s services.

This matter is being presented to the Legal Committee at its meeting on May 27, 2026.

 

SHARED SERVICES IMPACT

 

This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
