RE:                                          Young v City of Detroit/DWSD (GLWA Participating) Claim Resolution

 

MOTION

 

Upon recommendation of David W. Jones, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA): authorizes General Counsel to enter into a settlement agreement and settle this matter in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and no cents ($550,000.00); and authorizes counsel and the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

The Background and Justification for this proposed redemption (settlement) are contained in a confidential, attorney-client privileged communication provided under separate cover.

BUDGET IMPACT

The amount of this settlement is included within the FY 25 budget.

COMMITTEE REVIEW

This matter is being presented directly to the full Board.

SHARED SERVICES IMPACT

This item does not impact the shared services agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
