MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2102824/SCN-0000059, Proposed Change Order No. 3, "Rehabilitation of the Northwest Interceptor - 8 Mile Road to Tireman" with LGC Global, Inc., with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $7,872,855.35 and an increased duration of 366 days for a total duration of 1,189 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The Northwest Interceptor conveyance system generally consists of pipes ranging in diameter from 4 feet to 13 feet and composed of numerous materials, including pre-cast concrete cylinders, cast-in-place concrete, brick, stone, and more. Conveyance projects typically have a few common elements among them, including cleaning and structural or maintenance type repairs followed by warranty inspections 1-year after the defects are repaired to ensure the repairs held.
