MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 1802543/SCN-0000063, Proposed Amendment No. 5, "Rehabilitation of Ferric Chloride Feed System at PS-1 and Complex B Sludge Lines" with Hazen and Sawyer, with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $2,322,045.00 and an increased duration of 200 days for a total duration of 2,232 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The main objective of the Hazen and Sawyer contract was to design a new Ferric Chloride feed system originating in Pump Station 2 (PS-2) and providing a feed of Ferric Chloride solution to existing Pump Station 1 (PS-1) via a new chemical feed system installed in the pipe gallery at the Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF).
