MOTION
Upon recommendation and opinion of Phyllis Hurks, General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA): (1) approves Amendment No. 6 to Legal Services Contract LS-2103067 with The Allen Law Group, P.C., for no additional Dollars and a term ending August 31, 2028; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote, including the execution of Amendment No. 6 to Legal Services Contract LS-2103067 with The Allen Law Group, P.C.
JUSTIFICATION
GLWA retained The Allen Law Group, P.C. as Legal Counsel for Real Property matters. This amendment would extend the time through August 31, 2028. Due to the contract exceeding five years, Board approval is required.
BUDGET IMPACT
There are sufficient funds allocated in the General Counsel’s budget for the continuation of The Allen Law Group, PC’s services.
COMMITTEE REVIEW
This matter is being presented to the Legal Committee at its meeting on July 22, 2026.
SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This request does not impact the Shared Services Agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
