MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2001051, Proposed Change Order No. 2, "Southwest Water Treatment Plant SCADA Network Upgrade" with Burns and McDonnell Michigan, Inc., with no increase in cost for a total cost not to exceed $7,891,696.00 and an increased duration of 183 days for a total duration of 1,217 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The intent of the Southwest Water Treatment Plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Network Upgrade project is to replace the plant's obsolete control systems and existing control networks. Under this project, the vendor is providing the engineering design, demolition, furnishing of field devices, equipment, local control panels, installation, and start-up of a complete advanced plant-wide SCADA control system and networks, that meets the current GLWA SCADA Governance Documents standards.
