RE: Purchase of Property located at 24 Mile Road in Shelby Township Necessary for 96-Inch Water Transmission Main (WTM) Relocation Project
MOTION
Upon recommendation of William M. Wolfson, Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Interim General Counsel, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the purchase of a temporary construction easement and permanent easement for a water main located at the Vacant lot on the S. Side 24 Mile Road Shelby Township., Michigan 48316 with tax parcel ID 23-07-127-010; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The Board has received a confidential attorney-client communication regarding the above-referenced purchase.
JUSTIFICATION
The purchase of this property is necessary for GLWA’s 96-Inch water transmission main relocation project.
BUDGET IMPACT
The proposed property purchase, if finalized, is within the budget for this project included in the approved 2024 - 2029 capital improvement plan.

SHARED SERVICES IMPACT
This item does not impact the shared services agreement between GLWA and DWSD.
