MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Requisition No. REQ-0009942 and Various Others, “Rotork Maintenance, Service, Parts, and Repair” with Systems Specialties Company, at a cost not to exceed $4,140,117.00 for a duration of three (3) years with two (2) one-year renewal options; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
There are 812 total actuators located in GLWA facilities. These actuators enable GLWA to maximize the use of installed automation, ensure proper functioning of facilities, and play an integral role in supporting the optimization process. This proposed contract will cover the inspection, preventative maintenance and any identified required repairs for the Rotork actuators located at the five (5) water treatment plants, Water Resource Recovery Facility, pump and booster stations, system conveyance, and the combined sewer overflow basins.
Annual preventative maintenance (PM) service and timely repairs are essential to ensure that the Rotork actuators remain in proper working condition, worn parts are regularly replaced, and condition assessments occur regularly. These services ensure that GLWA can provide the best value and reliability for our partners.
