MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2201744/SCN-0000118, Proposed Change Order No. 3, "Front Entrance Rehabilitation at the Water Resource Recovery Facility" with Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC), with no increase in cost for a cost not to exceed $8,367,146.00 and an increased duration of 304 days for a total duration of 1,324 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
The project is intended to transform the appearance of the front entrance area for GLWA's Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), which was last constructed and updated over 40 years ago (1980). The WRRF is the largest single site wastewater treatment facility in the United States, and the front entrance area is the main point of entry to the facility for the vast majority of the five hundred individuals that report to the facility daily.
