MOTION
Upon recommendation of Cheryl Porter, Chief Operating Officer - Water and Field Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No. 2004674/SCN-0000441, Proposed Change Order No. 1, "Engineering, Design, and Construction Assistance Services for North Service Center Pump Station Improvements" with CDM Smith Michigan, Inc., for an increased cost of $180,658.00 for a cost not to exceed $15,011,748.36 and no increase in duration for a total duration of 2,545 days; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
Contract No. 2004674 is a design-bid-build contract focused on the rehabilitation of the North Service Center Pumping Station. The rehabilitation will improve electrical reliability and efficiency. Electrical improvements will include replacement of two (2) switchgears, two (2) variable drives, a unit substation, four (4) excitation systems, and various panelboards.
