MOTION
Upon recommendation of Navid Mehram, Chief Operating Officer - Wastewater Operating Services, the Board of Directors (Board) of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), authorizes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to enter into Contract No 2201762/SCN-0000301, Proposed Change Order No. 2, “PS1 Rack and Grit HVAC Upgrade” with Clark Construction Company, with no increase in cost for a cost not to exceed $5,294,101.00 and an increase duration of 106 days for a total duration of 1,143; and authorizes the CEO to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND
On February 13, 2023, GLWA awarded Contract No. 2201762, titled “Pump Station No. 1 (PS-1) Rack and Grit HVAC System Upgrade,” to Clark Construction Company (Clark), with a start date of March 1, 2023. The scope of work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of existing roof-mounted air handling units, associated ductwork, natural gas piping, controls, and related appurtenances; removal of existing steam unit heaters and their associated components; and the furnishing and installation of new exhaust fans and other items as detailed in the contract documents.
JUSTIFICATION
As of November 20, 2025, all construction elements of this project have been completed. This extension in time is to allow time for the processing of the final change order, final pay application, and to complete the final administrative elements necessary to close out this project.
