RE:                     Easement Agreement between GLWA and Rochester Community Schools, Property Owner of 52585 Dequindre Road Rochester, Michigan 48307 (Part of Tax Parcel No. 68-15-13-276-007)

MOTION

Upon recommendation and opinion of David W. Jones, General Counsel, the Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) (1) approves and authorizes the execution of an Easement Agreement, in the amount of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty and 00/100 Dollars ($16,520.00), between GLWA and Rochester Community Schools, Property Owner of 52585 Dequindre Road Rochester, Michigan 48307 (Part of Tax Parcel No. 68-15-13-276-007), Including the execution of an Easement Agreement; and (2) authorizes the Chief Executive Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

JUSTIFICATION

GLWA must acquire an easement over the property owned by Rochester Community Schools. The easement is needed in conjunction with the 96-inch water main relocation project. Without an easement agreement, GLWA cannot move forward with the 96-inch water main relocation project in the most cost-effective manner.

BUDGET IMPACT

Easement acquisitions were included in the budget for the 96-inch relocation project.
